'I' Day!! 'I' change!!

Wanted to make this cutie girl picture with Susil's  favourite water colour pencils for a long time...
..made a pencil sketch and the sketch book waited under the dust  for me to take it again and splash some colours...till last night ...

This is an imitation from a paper cutting that Susi saved long back…
It is Independence Day special...!
Remembering our great leaders and celebrating the jubilant feeling of patriotism...it does not stop with all freedom movements and the pride about our nation.....we do face several societal problems for which we blame others ...

Susi remembers one small story that she read in The Hindu-Young World some time back...She thinks this has some relevance to this day ....to keep up our nation's pride in all spheres, What should ‘I’ do, instead of sitting back and praising our past leaders and blaming and criticizing the present leaders and others ?…
Here it says...
“ I, the Centre
Thuppan refused to respect the sanctity of public places. If he was corrected he said, “Am I the only one doing it?”At the end of the year, when the exam results were out, Thuppan had failed. His friends were unsympathetic. They asked,”Are you the only one who has failed?”
Thuppan was sad and went home. Corrupto, his father, was arguing with his friend saying bribing was not bad. He said, “Am I the only one doing it?”Thuppan‘s mother, Escapi, let the sewage seep onto the street. She too said,” Am I the only one doing it?”
Thuppan was confused. He saw Gicha sweeping away stagnant water. He said, “The main breeding source for mosquitoes is stagnation .By not allowing this to happen we may prevent diseases.”Thuppan joined him and said,
“Am I not the one who should change?
I is the most important word that we should avoid….but at times it is ‘I’ who is responsible!
Happy 'I'ndependence Day!!
'I' am the one who should Change ... 'I' am 'Independent' :)
